Amit Seal Ami is a Ph.D. candidate in the Computer Science Department at William & Mary, advised by Dr. Adwait Nadkarni and Dr. Denys Poshyvanyk. Amit’s research has been published in top-tier Security and Software Engineering venues, earning recognition such as the Distinguished Paper Award at the IEEE S&P 2024 and the CoVA CCI Dissertation Fellowship.
Beyond research, Amit engages with policy and outreach initiatives. He collaborated with the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Joint Commission on Technology and Science to advance cybersecurity policies as COVES Policy Fellow 2022. He has also established an academic mentorship program, connecting the students of the University of Dhaka with the William & Mary faculty. Amit is a founding member and the Lead Graduate Student of the Secure Platforms Lab at William & Mary since 2024. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Software Engineering from the Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
